Evidence assessment

MOVETHICS Assessed

Define the scope, submit evidence and receive a reasoned decision on the ten EETC principles. Human review is independent of signature and membership.

1. Application and scope

The application starts an admissibility review. Scope, timing and terms, including any cost, will be agreed before assessment. No automatic charge is made.

2. Evidence and review of the ten principles

PDF, maximum 5 MB per file and 10 files per case. Redact unnecessary personal data and trade secrets. Only submit third-party documents with permission.

3. Response, decision and verification

Decisions may be appealed through this case. Someone other than the initial reviewer must review the appeal; the previous status remains in force until a new decision.

Assessed covers only the scope, period and evidence reviewed. It does not certify the whole organisation or guarantee legal compliance. Paying a fee or a Quick Check score cannot grant it.

Granting the status requires sufficient evidence for all ten principles after scope and terms have been agreed. Validity is limited to twelve months. Evidence, contact details and findings remain private; only the granted status, scope and validity are published with revocable consent.

  1. Law is the floor.

No commercial arrangement puts anyone above mandatory applicable law.

  2. The chain must not run on permanent tension.

Night work, relays, weekends, holidays, late deliveries and short-notice changes may be necessary, but exceptional human availability should not become the hidden default. Transport can be procured competitively; people, time and capacity are not endlessly replaceable.

  3. Responsibility follows control.

Consequences should follow the ability to control, prevent or mitigate their cause. Pressure should stop where control stops.

  4. Performance starts the payment clock.

Once transport is properly performed, the economic payment clock has started. Evidence should prove performance, not create a second artificial starting date for payment.

  5. Waiting is capacity.

Waiting outside the carrier’s reasonable control consumes time, equipment and human capacity and should be visible, attributable and treated under a predictable rule.

  6. Penalties must be known before delivery.

Material commercial penalties should be communicated and agreed before delivery - preferably before load acceptance - and require cause, evidence, proportionality and a real right to challenge. No retroactive penalties.

  7. Long-term capacity needs long-term commitment.

Structural transport capacity, dedicated assets and recurring resources should not be built on permanently short-term certainty. Commitment must work both ways.

  8. The chain must remain visible.

Subcontracting is legitimate when it adds capability or managed risk, but the physical executor should remain reasonably identifiable and further subcontracting controlled and traceable.

  9. The right to say no must be real.

A participant must be able to refuse an unlawful, unsafe or materially changed operation without automatic retaliation.

  10. Sustainable transport must sustain those who perform it.

Environmental transition should not systematically transfer additional cost, investment burden or operational risk to the party least able to absorb it.
